Pre Detox:

Preparing your body for a detox cleanse is essential. In order to prevent shocking your system it is recommended that you start to wean yourself off of certain foods and beverages 3 days before.

Food to avoid

  • dairy and eggs (non-organic)

  • meat and poultry (non-organic)

  • white starches and grains

  • raw fish

  • fried foods

  • refined sugars and artificial sweeteners

  • processed foods (for example: tofu, breads, pastas and fake sugars)

  • caffeine and alcohol and sodas

Foods ok to eat

  • fruits and vegetables

  • grains like quinoa, millet and brown rice

  • nuts

  • use sweeteners like agave, raw honey, maple syrup

  • herbal teas, and green teas(non caffeine)

  • Water, coconut water, aloe vera juice, natural unsweetened juices and smoothies

  • Organic eggs, organic poultry and fresh fish

  • granola

During cleanse

Please take it easy. The point is to give your body a rest so please do not overexert yourself physically. Walking, yoga, swimming and low impact exercises are suggested but listen to your body if you don’t feel that you have the energy to do physical activities then don’t.

Drink at least 2 liters of water per day, breathe deep, take quiet moments to reflect and observe the changes taking place within.

During the Detox Full program the juices are to be consumed in a specific order every 3 hours and during the Detox Mini program every 4 hours.

Every morning before your first juice we recommend drinking 1 cup of hot water with lemon. This is a great way to prepare your digestive tract and it also helps alkalize your body. We suggest removing alcohol, nicotine and caffeine consumption before, during and after your cleanse.

Depending your body’s reaction to the Detox there can be discomfort. When the body starts to release the toxins into the system you can experience a series of uncomfortable symptoms like nausea, mood swings, dizziness, skin breakouts, coating on tongue, constipation, frequent urination and headaches. The symptoms usually dissipate after the first 2 or 3 days. It is vital to stay hydrated and drink at least 8 glasses of water per day apart  from your juices.

After the initial adjustment period you will feel bursts of energy, notice your skin glowing, your concentration sharper, feel a deeper connection to your body and self and an overall sense of well being. Please listen to your body. If you feel strong negative effects please stop your Detox and immediately ingest something light like a fruit salad or a smoothie.

To optimize your detox cleanse it is strongly recommended that you receive frequent colonics during your treatment. Waste elimination is vital to the removal of toxins that the detox is releasing into your system. If doing a colonic is not possible, warm water enemas or natural herbal laxatives can be used.

Post Detox

Please be as gentle to your system coming out of the cleanse as when you started it. Slowly introduce solid foods into your system and it is perfectly normal to find that you will not have the desire to consume processed foods, refined sugars, caffeine, alcohol and nicotine. This period is as an example of what a healthy diet feels like and use it as a tool to better equip you in making better food and lifestyle choices for your future.
